The last few weeks of warm weather and sunshine have been lovely. Have you been trying to get some vitamin D by getting your 15-20 minutes of sunshine? I know I have! 😎

Make sure not to get too much though as then it turns into skin damage.

A nice cup of green tea is good for us as it is full of anti-inflammatory benefits, is rich in antioxidants, and contains some caffeine. 🍵

When applied topically to the skin, these anti-inflammatory properties help soothe and calm our skin.

Caffeine is well known for its ability to increase circulation and tighten the skin, and it is recognized as one of the best actives for dark circles and puffiness. So what better place to use it, than around our eyes! 👀

Do you know that my shampoo doesn't come in a plastic bottle? Every year shampoo bottles are tossed away and end up either recycled or in our landfill sites.

I wanted to help with this, so I decided to make zero-waste shampoo and conditioner bars.

By using shampoo bars, not only are we able to eliminate plastic bottles, but they are made with natural ingredients, no sodium lauryl sulfates, parabens, PEGs or other harmful ingredients, they are cruelty-free and very travel friendly. ✈

Alpha hydroxyl acids occur naturally in milk and fruits. These enzymes help to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.

They act like a little Pac-Man and eat up dead skin cells which help to promote new growth of the skin.

Milk is also a wonderful moisturiser due to its hydrating properties and acts as a cleanser by removing impurities. It soothes irritated skin and can help reduce wrinkles and provide a radiant glow. 🥛

My Banana and Chocolate Milk mask contains dry milk powder and is great for all skin types particularly dry and sensitive.

I have many people ask me if I make all my products, and I always reply 'I most definitely do!' 😊

There are many skincare companies that buy premade products, add a bit of fragrance or colour to them, put them in pretty bottles or jars and then add their own labels.

This does not happen with Rain Natural Skincare, I take great pride in having taken a Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation and a Diploma in Natural Haircare Formulation to know how to properly formulate my own products. I make them all by hand, I bottle them, label and sell them myself.

If you ever want to ask about a product...ask away, because I can answer why I made something, what's in it, how I made it and why it will help your skin or hair. 🥰
